Redcliff election forum Tuesday night

REDCLIFF, AB – Voters  in Redcliff will have the opportunity to hear from their candidates this week.

The town will host its election forum Tuesday night at Parkside School. The event begins at 7 p.m.

Mayor Ernie Reimer is seeking a second term as mayor, and is being challenged by long-time councillor Dwight Kilpatrick.

A total of seven candidates are seeking six positions as councillor. Incumbents Cathy Crozier, Larry Leipert, Eric Solberg and Jim Steinke are seeking re-election. They are joined by newcomers Shawna Cockle, Chris Czember and John Gaetan.

The town is also holding its only advance poll on Wednesday from noon- 8 p.m. at the Redcliff Public Library (131 Main Street South). All electors are eligible to vote. A full list of acceptable identification can be found here.
