INTERVIEWS: Back from Calgary Flames camp
MEDICINE HAT, AB — Newly appointed Tigers captain Mark Rassell and Zach Fischer have returned to the Gas City just in time for the regular season.
The two ’97-borns were under the watchful eye of Calgary Flames brass for the last couple weeks, beginning with the Young Stars Classic in Penticton, B.C. before heading back to Alberta for a taste of training camp.
Although Fischer is dealing with concussion-like symptoms following a check into the boards last Friday, he says witnessing the professionalism of the Calgary Flames was eye-opening.
For Rassell, after skating alongside Mikael Backlund and Michael Frolik for a few days, he knows perfection and consistency is what he needs to work on to reach the next level.
