Fischer, Rassell released from Flames camp

CALGARY, AB — The Calgary Flames have slashed their training camp roster by 21, and a pair of Medicine Hat Tigers forwards didn’t make the cut.

Mark Rassell and Zach Fischer, both entering their overage WHL seasons, are returning to the Gas City in time for the Tabbies season and home openers this weekend.

Fischer, selected by the Flames in the 5th round in this year’s entry draft, remains questionable for the two matches after getting checked into the boards at Flames practice last week. He’s since been on concussion protocol with minor symptoms.
