Two Medicine Hat men facing stolen property charges

MEDICINE HAT, AB — Two Medicine Hat men are facing multiple charges following a brief investigation into stolen property.

According to a news release from the Medicine Hat Police Service, members of the Priority Street Crime Unit received information about a stolen enclosed cargo trailer on Monday. At a rural property near the city landfill. The trailer was located, and two men were arrested after allegedly transferring property from the trailer to a vehicle. A search of the scene also revealed stolen property from other break and enters reported to the police.

Travis Seitz, 26, has been charged with one count of possession of stolen property over $5,000, two counts of possession of stolen property under $5,000, possession of a controlled substance and six counts of breach of recognizance. He has been remanded into custody.

Justin Craig, 33, has been charged with one count of possession of stolen property over $5,000, three counts of possession of stolen property under $5,000, possession of a controlled substance and possession of identity documents. Craig has been released from custody on $5,000 no cash recognizance.
