Police Point Park closed due to aggressive moose

MEDICINE HAT, AB — Police Point Park is immediately closed, and will likely remain so until Thursday, due to an aggressive moose is in the area.

It is currently rutting season for moose, and the public is advised to be careful, as the animal can be very dangerous.

The city advises residents visiting any other parks or trails in the city to be aware of their surroundings at all times. If you spot a moose or any other dangerous wildlife, contact Medicine Hat Bylaw at 403-529-8481 or Fish and Wildlife at 403-529-3680 immediately.

Fish and Wildlife are aware of the situation in Police Point Park, and will be heading on scene to handle the situation.
