MEDICINE HAT, AB — As the injury bug continues to make its rounds through the Medicine Hat Tigers locker room, rookies and prospects are gaining ample playing time ahead of the regular season.
Making a strong case for a full-time role is 17-year-old centre Jaxon Steele.
The Calgary native collected a pair of goals in his final two exhibition games, while racking up four penalty minutes and a +1 rating in the preseason.
