Full slate of candidates seeking election for Redcliff Town Council

REDCLIFF, AB — As of Monday, it is going to be two-horse race for Mayor of Redcliff.

Ernie Reimer is seeking his second term as mayor on October 16. He is being challenged by Dwight Kilpatrick, who has previously served on council for 28 years.

On council, seven candidates are seeking six seats as councillors. Four of five incumbents are seeking re-election, with Councillor Chere Brown deciding not to run again.

Three new candidates have also put their names forward to run for councillor.

A full list of candidates can be found below. The deadline for candidates to drop out is Tuesday at noon.

The town will run its advance poll on October 4 from noon- 8 p.m. at the Redcliff Public Library. All Redcliff electors are eligible to vote in the advance poll.

The polling location for October 16 is the Redcliff Senior Citizens Centre (26 Main St. S). Voting runs from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. Details about an election forum will be revealed at a later date
