37th Annual Terry Fox Run raises $3115 in Kin Coulee Park

MEDICINE HAT, AB. – The Medicine Hat Kinette Club held their 37th Annual Terry Fox Run at Kin Coulee Park on Sunday September 17, 2017.

Kinette Club president Nicole Nugent said the community participants raised $3115 to support cancer research during their 3km walk/run.

“We actually did really well in attendance, we had 70 people come out and we couldn’t ask for a more beautiful day,” she said.

Nugent explained that almost every person is effected by cancer, whether it be themselves or a loved one. She said the Kinette Club just wants to keep making a difference.

“To be able to do one small thing that could eventually create a bigger thing, means a lot,” she explained.

Anyone in the community was invited out to the run said Nugent. She said the Kinette Club plans to host the Terry Fox Run in Medicine Hat again next year.
