Amber Alert cancelled; girl found safe.

UPDATE: The alert was cancelled at 9:28 p.m. The girl has been located safe.

 

ROCKY MOUNTAIN HOUSE, AB – An Amber Alert was issued Friday night in Alberta after RCMP in Rocky Mountain House received reports of an abduction of a three-year-old girl.

At 5 p.m., RCMP responded to the Bighorn Reserve, after learning Rocklyn Abraham was abducted by her aunt April Abraham.

Rocklyn is described as Aboriginal, 2 feet tall, and weighs 35 pounds. She has straight black hair past her shoulders with front bangs. She was wearing black pants, a long-sleeved purple checkered shirt, a white t-shirt, and grey and orange socks.

April Abraham is approximately 34 years old. She is described as Aboriginal, with black hair past her shoulders. She may also be in the company of Brian Deschamps, a 33-year-old man with a tattoo of the word “April” on his neck.

Pictures were not immediately available.

The suspects are believed to be in a white van, though the direction of travel from the Bighorn Reserve is not known.

RCMP are advising people to not approach the suspects if they’re seen. Anyone with information on the disappearance is asked to call police at 403-845-2881.
