Boy not injured after being hit by car while riding bike Wednesday morning

MEDICINE HAT, AB — Medicine Hat police are reminding drivers and cyclists to always pay attention, after a 12-year-old boy was hit by a car while riding a bicycle Wednesday morning.

According to police, the collision took place around 8 a.m. at the intersection of Division Avenue and Sixth Street southwest, across from Safeway.

Police say a 12-year-old boy was crossing in the intersection, when he was hit by a vehicle making a turn. The boy was wearing his helmet at the time, and no serious injuries were reported.
