Mad Hatter & Happy Hatter – Sept 11

Mad Hatter
Why is the bottom of Parkview drive still a “hot” photo radar spot? Isn’t the idea of photo radar is to make the roads safer? – It is not in a playground zone protecting the young, not at a dangerous intersection that has multitude of accidents but it’s going up a hill!

Mad Hatter
People who drive so slow through 50 zones and then go 40 or 50 through school zones. Really?!

Mad Hatter
When will bylaw officers enforce the bylaws instead of ignoring issues until a complaint comes in?  I know a certain house that leaves their garbage bin on the road in front of the house.  I have seen bylaw in this area numerous times!  What about the bylaw for returning the bins back to the property – bylaw can’t possibly not notice.

Mad Hatter
The amount of ungrateful people I come across in the day to day is so unbelievable. You win something, “that’s all I get?” You had a bad day, “my life sucks”. If you have a home, if you have a family, if you have a country that isn’t getting bombed daily… shut up. Be grateful for god’s sake.

Mad Hatter
How I imagine the decision to change the buses went: Phonies sitting around the table drinking expensive scotch. “Hey, if we cut back on x,y,z routes… we will save all this money which means we can give ourselves a raise!!!!” “Great idea! That means I can get a brand-new boat!”

Mad Hatter
This city has the least amount of city-pride of any other city or town that I have ever lived in. And that is really saying something.

Mad Hatter
With how much the city pays for consulting fees for economic development this city should be a hotbed of activity. Instead, we just keep getting new restaurants and hotels!  Where are the new industries? Why is this highly paid consulting company not attracting new industries that offer good paying jobs for skilled workers?

Mad Hatter
To the dumb bimbo who cut me off at the intersection today; let me give you a little lesson on how to use the road. That big red sign that sits at corners and says STOP on it means that you must use your brakes. When all four corners have one of those, it means whoever reaches the stop sign first gets to go first. Rolling up to the stop sign and continuing to drive through is NOT stopping and it is being a crappy driver. Also, continuing to try and drive into my car after I repeatedly honked to get your attention makes you a hazard to everyone. Kindly cut your license in half and give up. People like you infuriate me.

Mad Hatter
With the looming municipal election, those who have thrown their hats in the ring should ride the transit system to truly see what the citizens are dealing with. Excuses for why they can’t ride – bus doesn’t run when I need to get to meeting, bus doesn’t go to where I need to be – DUH!!!!!!!!!!!! THAT’S THE REASON YOU SHOULD BE RIDING IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THAT’S WHY PEOPLE ARE UPSET AND DRIVERS ARE QUITTING!!!!!!!!!! This has got to be the work of an absolute buffoon!!!!! Go back to the way it was as fast as you can until you can do it RIGHT!!!!!!!!!

Happy Hatter
Looking forward to the upcoming election. Maybe getting some of those dingbats outta there will help. Transit riders keep your fingers crossed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mad Hatter
Every time I hear someone complaining about supporting the transit system which they don’t use I get a little hot under the collar.  I support, through my taxes, lots of city facilities and services that I cannot either afford to use or am not interested in.  If they think the riders of the transit system should cover the complete cost of running it than the users of the Canalta Centre, Leisure Centre etc. should cover the complete cost of running them. I think that would be fair.  Don’t you?

Mad Hatter
My OBNOXIOUS neighbour and his OBNOXIOUS bike. I can still hear him four streets over. Is there not some sort of bylaw against owning motorcycles that loud?! It’s AWFUL! and he SPEEDS off at 6am waking everyone on the street because it’s so loud!

Mad Hatter
With the buses going both directions it seems like the city didn’t think.  I just saw a bus stop in the middle of the road to allow a rider on. The rider had to run across the road from the bus bench to catch the bus. That sounds like a safe solution – to have buses stopping in the middle of the road and riders running across the road from a bus bench to catch the bus.
