MEDICINE HAT, AB — A bus stop in the Ross Glen neighbourhood that was placed in front of a home has been moved.

Jaime Feeney, who lost a parking spot in front of her Rossland Road Southeast home after a bus stop was installed, posted an image to the CHAT Television Facebook Page Wednesday afternoon, showing a sign taped to the bus stop, indicating it has been moved.

We reached out to the city’s transit department on Wednesday. Simon Amos, community access manager, said the stop in front of the house is not in effect as of right now.

“Drivers reported that on Rossland Road and Rossland Avenue, there was a lot of congestion yesterday,” he said. “It might have been due to an increase in vehicles in the school around the area.

“At the moment, we’ve temporarily relocated that portion of the route up to Ross Glen and on Cameron Road.”

Amos said the transit board will monitor the area and the stop to determine the best position for the stop.
