Two dead following plane crash in Swift Current

SWIFT CURRENT, SASK. — The Transportation Safety Board is en route to Swift Current after a fatal plane crash Thursday night claimed the lives of two people
According to a statement from the City of Swift Current, a small, single engine aircraft crashed approximately a half mile from the Swift Current Airport shortly after 7 p.m., shortly after takeoff. A RCMP news release says both occupants of the plane were found dead at the scene.
The city says the Transportation Safety Board investigation team is now en route to the crash site, which RCMP is guarding.
The TSB will take over the investigation to determine the cause of the crash.
