Mixed feedback for new Alberta dental guide

Aug 19, 2017 | 12:29 PM

EDMONTON, AB – The Canadian Life and Health Insurance Association is praising a new fee guide for dental services in Alberta.

But the association says the amount dentists charge patients is still too high in some cases up to 32 per cent more than elsewhere in Canada.

The industry group is not alone in its criticism of the fee guide released by the Alberta Dental Association and College.

Health Minister Sarah Hoffman has said she is disappointed with the suggested fees. (The Canadian Press)
