Correction: Senate-Alabama-Strange story
HOMEWOOD, Ala. — In a story Aug. 2 about the Alabama Senate race, The Associated Press reported erroneously that former Gov. Robert Bentley planned to run for the seat previously held by Jeff Sessions. Bentley planned to hold the election to fill Sessions’ seat in 2018, but he did not plan to run for the seat. The election was moved up to 2017 by Bentley’s successor, Gov. Kay Ivey.
