Death in Hudson Way house explosion not criminal: police

MEDICINE HAT, AB — Medicine Hat Police have determined the death following the explosion in a home on Hudson Way is not a criminal matter.

According to a news release on Friday, police received the results of an autopsy performed Thursday at the Medical Examiner’s office in Calgary.

The autopsy determined the identity of the victim in the home when it exploded Wednesday morning. Police say the death was not criminal in nature.

Police say no further information will be released, and, for privacy reasons, will not identify the deceased. Firefighters continue to investigate the cause of the explosion.
