Police investigating death at 10th Street SE residence

MEDICINE HAT, AB — The Medicine Hat Police Service is investigating the death of one person at a residence in the 800 block of 10th Street SE.

Police are releasing few details about the circumstances surrounding the death, but did say a man in his 50’s was found dead inside.

A forensics team was at the home on Monday, helping investigators preserve the scene.

S/Sgt. Trevor Humphries says it’s important police work together and with the medical examiner to determine what happened.

“In a case like this, where we don’t have all the answers because we don’t have a witness that was there at the time of the death, so we have to piece together the events in the hours before, the days before leading up to this event of the death,” he said.

An autopsy has been scheduled for Tuesday.
