Darts player Dawson Murschell makes it to semifinals at North American Championship

LAS VEGAS, NV — A local darts player made it to the semifinals of the North American Darts Championship in Las Vegas on Thursday.

Medicine Hat’s Dawson Murschell won his first match at at the World Series of Darts Festival in Las Vegas against David Cameron winning six games to five, but was defeated by Willard Bruguier for a spot in the finals six games to three.

All games in the tournament are best of 11.

The festival continues with the U.S. Master’s tournament, a two-day event which sees the top eight players from North America battle the top eight international players.

Murschell will be taking on Britain’s James Wade, who is the fourth seeded international player in the tournament, on Friday.
