An attempt to settle a drug debt with force resulted in two Calgarians arrested by Medicine Hat city police.
They were called to the 800 block of 8th street s.w. early on Saturday morning – after a report of a home invasion.
The suspects were arrested at the scene.
Investigators say a 31 year old male waved a firearm as he tried to collect the debt.
During his arrest, police also found brass knuckles, a knife and a small amount of methamphetamine. A loaded semi-automatic rifle and various ammunition was later found in a vehicle associated with the two suspects.
A 38 year old woman from Calgary was also arrested.
Both are facing a variety of charges.
