City to discontinue bus route

MEDICINE HAT, AB — A bus route from the south end to the north end of Medicine Hat started with a lot of fanfare almost two years ago.

However, it is being discontinued at the end of the month.

The city says Route 12, which runs from near Wal-Mart to the Box Springs Business Park, will end service on June 29.

Medicine Hat Transit says most of the stops will be covered by other routes.
