MEDICINE HAT, AB — Medicine Hat College will be playing host to the top college golfers in Canada next year.

The college was approved to host the PING Canadian Collegiate Athletic Conference Golf National Championships from October 15-19, 2018. The tournament will be played at Desert Blume Golf Club.

“We are very excited that, for the first time, CCAA Golf Nationals will take place in Alberta,” said Christian Brosseau, CCAA Golf Convenor, in a news release. “Medicine Hat has proven to be an exceptional host over the last four years, hosting multiple Championships.”

Medicine Hat has hosted Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) provincials in 2012 and 2015. The college also hosted the 2014 CCAA women’s Soccer National Championship, and hosted the ACAC Men’s Basketball Championships earlier this year.
