Tigers sign forward Hopwo to Standard Player Agreement

MEDICINE HAT, AB – The Medicine Hat Tigers along with General Manager and Head Coach Shaun Clouston have announced the signing of forward Corson Hopwo to a WHL Standard Player Agreement Wednesday morning.

This comes just a few days separated from the Tigers annual Prospect Orientation Camp. Hopwo was one of 26 players to undergo dryland and on-ice training at the Family Liesure Centre.

Hopwo was drafted in the 7th round of the 2016 Bantam Draft. The Victoria BC native played the 2016-17 season with the Delta Hockey Academy Elite 15’s team of the Canadian Sport School Hockey League. Hopwo registered 44 points in 30 games, notching 19 Goals and 25 assists. 

“We believe Corson will bring an element of skill, speed, compete level and commitment to our team. We welcome Corson and his family to the Medicine Hat Tigers,” stated Senior Director of Player Personnel Darren Kruger.
