MEDICINE HAT, AB — A suspicious persons complaint in Burstall, Sask., has led to the recovery of a jeep that was stolen in Medicine Hat Saturday morning.

The vehicle had two rifles and ammunition in it when it was taken, and police say those too have been recovered.

While investigating the suspicious persons call Saturday night, Leader RCMP came across a different stolen vehicle before locating the jeep at a home in the small town shortly after.

Police determined two suspects were in the house, but the pair refused to leave.

About eight hours later RCMP entered the residence after securing a warrant. They then arrested a man and woman without incident.

Charges are pending against both individuals, and they’re scheduled to have a bail hearing in Swift Current Monday morning.

Burstall is located about 100km northeast of Medicine Hat.
