Police begin issuing E-tickets for parking infractions

MEDICINE HAT, AB — The way police officers in the city write parking tickets is moving online.

Last month, police showed off a new app and portable printer which makes issuing tickets faster and more convenient.

The new technology means they’re able to get back out on the streets quicker.

The system also includes an online appeal process, which means you don’t have to go down to the police station to fight it.

The service is also letting the public know that as of July 1st, they’ll no longer be accepting parking ticket payments.

Those payments will now be directed to City Hall.
