MEDICINE HAT, AB — The Medicine Hat Tigers continue to make moves in the Western Hockey League offseason.

Schneider was traded to the Calgary Hitmen on Friday in exchange for a fourth round pick in the 2019 Western Hockey League Bantam Draft.

Schneider, who is entering his 20-year-old season this fall, joined the Tigers in 2014 after being traded by the Regina Pats. This past season, Schneider appeared in 47 games, finishing with a 3.43 goals against average and an .886 save percentage. Schneider was also involved in the community, starting a Student of the Month program this season, and sharing the Community Service award with Mark Rassell this season.

Schneider was signed by the Calgary Flames in 2015.

The trade leaves eight overage playerson the Tigers heading into the 2017/2018 season, after Matt Bradley was traded earlier in the week to Regina for goaltender Jordan Hollett. Overage players left for the Tigers include Rassell, goaltender Michael Bullion, forwards John Dahlstrom, Zach Fischer and Mark Rassell, and defencemen Kristians Rubins, Ty Schultz, Jordan Henderson and Brad Forrest.

The Tigers are only allowed three overage players on the roster.
