Kelly or Wingels to replace White as Senators tweak lineup for Game 7
PITTSBURGH — The Ottawa Senators are tweaking their lineup for Game 7 of the Eastern Conference final.
Head coach Guy Boucher said that Chris Kelly or Tommy Wingels will take the place of rookie Colin White in Thursday night’s decisive game against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Kelly has yet to dress since the first round against Boston, but the 36-year-old forward does have 91 games of playoff experience. He also won a Stanley Cup with Boston in 2011 and delivered an inspirational speech to the Senators on Tuesday ahead of a 2-1 Game 6 win.
Wingels, meanwhile, played in the Stanley Cup final with San Jose last year and has 54 games of post-season experience.
