MEDICINE HAT, AB — The Medicine Hat Tigers have made a major trade in the Western Hockey League offseason.

The Tigers have traded forward Matt Bradley, a second round pick in the 2018 WHL Bantam Draft and a fifth round pick in the 2019 Bantam Draft to the Regina Pats in exchange for goaltender Jordan Hollett.

Hollett appeared in 19 games for the Pats last season, recording a 15-2-2-0 record along with a 0.901 save percentage and 2.83 goals against average.

“We are excited to acquire a goaltender of Jordan’s calibre,” said Medicine Hat tigers head coach and general manager Shaun Clouston in a statement. “Jordan is one of the top ‘99 born goaltenders in the Western Hockey League and gives us depth at a very important position for years to come. We would like to welcome Jordan and his family to the Tigers organization.”

Hollett was picked in the first round of the 2014 WHL bantam draft and is ranked 15th among goaltenders by NHL Central Scouting for the 2017 NHL Entry Draft.

Bradley, who is entering his 20-year-old season next season, was drafted by the Tigers in the second round of the 2012 draft and appeared in 209 games as a Tiger. In the 2016/2017 season, Bradley scored 34 goals and notched 43 assists in 70 games. Bradley was also drafted by the Montreal Canadiens in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.

“The Tigers would like to thank Matt for his years of dedication and contribution on and off the ice in Medicine Hat. We wish him all the best in Regina with the Pats,” stated Clouston.
