Woman killed in two-vehicle crash near Lethbridge

LETHBRIDGE COUNTY, AB – One woman is dead following a two-vehicle crash in Lethbridge County on Sunday afternoon.

Picture Butte RCMP say at around 12:45 pm a pickup truck travelling southbound on Highway 23 south of Township Road 104 crossed the centre line and collided with a northbound semi trailer.

The female driver of the truck was pronounced dead at the scene, while the male driver of the semi escaped without injury.

Police are not releasing the name of the woman killed and family of the deceased have been notified.

There is no word yet on contributing factors of the crash and RCMP say the investigation remains ongoing.
