MEDICINE HAT, AB — The Junior ‘B’ Sun Devils captured their first win of the regular season with a 10-8 win over the Strathmore Venom Sunday evening.

Captain Keenan Wilson led the charge for Medicine Hat with 2 goals and 3 assists while Tanner Dynes had a goal and 3 helpers. Aidan McLean and Izaak Loran both chipped in a pair of markers too.

Nate Thomas was solid in net for the Sun Devils, earning the praise of head coach Chris Loran.

“Nate stood on his head, kept us in the game the whole time, made sure that they weren’t getting any unnecessary points on the board,” the Sun Devils bench boss said after the game.

Thomas meanwhile deferred credit to his teammates.

“The boys played great in front of me,” said Thomas. “One of the best defensive games we’ve had this year.”

Below are a few highlights from the game.
