Sun Devils drop home opener, fall to 0-2

MEDICINE HAT, AB —With the friendly confines of the Kinplex unavailable, the Junior ‘B’ Sun Devils lost their home opener at the Moose Rec Centre 12-3 Saturday against the High River Heat.

Devon Caithcart led the way offensively for the Heat with 4 goals and 5 assists, while Keenan Wilson scored 2 of the 3 Sun Devils’ goals. Daniel Drefs rounded out the Medicine Hat scoring.

The loss drops the Sun Devils to 0-2 on the season. They’ll look to bounce back and capture their first win of the year Sunday against the Strathmore Venom at 5:30 pm at the Moose.
