LETHBRIDGE — An about-face in Lethbridge court Wednesday morning, relating to an attempted murder case.

After dismissing lawyer Greg White on April 6, the accused, Denzel Dre Colton Bird, has rehired the lawyer. At that time, Bird told court that he no longer wanted to have White represent him and asked for time to retain a new lawyer.

Bird faces charges that include attempted murder and aggravated sexual assault, after a 25-year-old woman was attacked in a south-side alley on September 30, 2016. She was left with major injuries that she’s still recovering from.

White says he will resume discussions with the Crown, and the case was adjourned to May 26.
