Three people charged in $500,000 Lethbridge drug bust

LETHBRIDGE –  Two men and a woman, all from Lethbridge, have been charged with drug trafficking offences after nearly half a million dollars’ worth of drugs and the proceeds of crime were seized from a west side home.

On Thursday officers wrapped up a six-month investigation into drug activity wih members of the Patrol Operations Division executing a search warrant at a home along Lafayette Boulevard.

Officers seized 29 pounds of marihuana, four pounds of marihuana resin, seven pounds of psilocybin, 400 bottles of liquid THC, 136 tabs of LSD as well as hashish, four pounds of marihuana candy and more than $121,000 cash proceeds of crime. A GMC Sierra was also seized. Three people inside the home were taken into custody.

The cash and drugs seized totals approximately $475,000.

35-year old Tyler Dean Petryshyn, is charged with four counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, two counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count of possession of the proceeds of crime over $5,000.

Jolene Raygen Burge, aged 31, is charged with four counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, two counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count of possession of the proceeds of crime over $5,000.

Jeffrey Michael George Seniec, aged 30, is charged with four counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and one count of possession of the proceeds of crime over $5,000.

All three made a first appearance in Lethbridge court on Thursday morning.
