Riverside Neighbourhood Plan meeting scheduled for Tuesday

MEDICINE HAT, AB — The city’s planning department is holding a meeting Tuesday to gather feedback from residents of Riverside about the changes coming to the neighbourhood.
Riverside School will close at the end of the school year, with students being transferred to Vincent Massey School in the fall. The city also announced Heald Poll will close in the spring. The pool cost $80,000 per year to operate, and needed $250,000 in repairs to upgrade it.
The meeting will take place from 4 – 8 p.m. at Riverside School, where officials will discuss the Riverside Neighbourhood Plan with residents. The meeting will inform residents about the changes and why they are happening, and allow residents to submit feedback to help shape the future of the neighbourhood.
