RCMP respond to barricaded man in Pincher Creek

PINCHER CREEK, AB – RCMP and the Emergency Response Team responded to an emergency call Saturday evening in Pincher Creek.

Details are few, however police asked the public to stay away from the Macleod Street area, which they have cordoned off.

They also asked the public to refrain from taking any pictures, and not to disclose specific locations on social media.  Global TV reported a man is barricaded inside a home in the area and officers originally responded to a firearm complaint.

Shortly after 9:30 a.m., RCMP posted on Twitter the situation had ended.
