MEDICINE HAT, AB — At least one person has been taken to hospital following a two-vehicle collision just outside Medicine Hat city limits Wednesday afternoon.

RCMP, along with members of the Medicine Hat Fire Department, responded to the collision at approximately 4:10 p.m. on Highway 3 at Range Road 63. According to RCMP, the collision involved a truck travelling westbound and a car travelling east on the highway. RCMP says the driver of the truck lost control, crossed the centre of the highway and struck the car head-on.

RCMP confirmed one man had to be extracted from the car, before being transported to Medicine Hat Regional Hospital with “significant” injuries. RCMP say the man was conscious at the time.
