Several defencive let-downs, coupled with sloppy play through the neutral zone lead to the Cougars taking a 4-3 lead with 12:54 remaining. Medicine Hat built up several waves of pressure in the attacking zone, but couldn’t solve Cougars netminder Ty Edmonds, who finished with 29 saves.
