Visions Electronics closes it doors in Medicine Hat

Visions Electronics has permanently closed its location in Medicine Hat, according to a notice posted on the store’s door on Wednesday morning.

The notice states the store at 1930 Strachan Rd SE is permanently closed, and customers with items awaiting pickup are asked to contact the company by phone or email to arrange retrieval for a limited time.

The company says any orders not picked up by April 30 will be automatically cancelled and refunded to the original form of payment.

Visions Electronics thanked customers for their years of loyalty, calling it a pleasure to serve the community.

The retailer says the company remains in operation at its other locations across Canada and online.

Attempts to contact Visions Electronics for comment on the closure were denied.

Social media messages from individuals claiming to be former employees of the Medicine Hat location stated that rising rent at the leased location was a factor.

That information cannot be verified as Visions will not provide comment.

Visions had been in the Strachan Road location for over 15 years after moving from their previous Dunmore Road location.
