SEAC Tigers finish weekend with win, tie

MEDICINE HAT, AB — The Southeast Athletic Club Tigers Midget 15 team finished the weekend with a win and a tie.

The team hosted the St. Albert Flyers on Saturday, downing them 8-3, but tied the Calgary Blackhawks 3-3 on Sunday on the road.

During Saturday’s game Matthew MacPherson had a hat trick for the Tigers. Josh Drefs, Kieran Christianson, Aiden Ma, Daniel Ganert and Braden Patey all had singles during the game.

Landon Porteous made 23 saves for the Tigers through the game.

During Sunday;s game, the Tigers went down 2-0 early, but were able to come back with a tie. Ma, Ganert and Ethan Kinch scored for the Tigers, who were outshot 41-21 through the game.

The Tigers play the CRAA Blue Saturday afternoon at 2:15 p.m.

Bantam AAA

The SEAC Tigers’ bantam squad dropped their weekend games.

The Tigers were shutout 4-0 by the Calgary Flames on Saturday, and were defeated 10-2 by the Calgary Bisons Sunday.

The team returns to action on Saturday, hosting the Red Deer Rebels at the Hockey Hounds Arena. The game begins at 7:45 p.m.
